The outcomes of the basic theoretical and applied research in the area of state and law are published in the Journal. The topical issues of legal science and the analysis of the latest legislation and judicial practice are highlighted on the pages of the Journal.
The Journal is published by the Institute of State and Law of the Russian Academy of Sciences, one of the largest scientific legal centers of Russia with a history of more than 90 years.
The prominent scholars, educators, practitioners as well as young talents at the beginning of their journey in science make their publications in the Journal.
The editorial board of “Proceedings of the Institute of State and Law of the RAS” consists of the renowned Russian and foreign scholars. All inputs undergo external “double-blind” scientific reviewing by the experts who are highly qualified professionals in the respective areas of legal knowledge, the fact that ensures high quality of publications.
The Journal has been published since 2006, comes out six times per year. It is distributed across Russia and abroad.
Since 2017, the inputs not only in the Russian but also in the English, German, French, Spanish and Italian languages have been published in “Proceedings of the Institute of State and Law of the RAS”.
The Journal is registered with the Federal Telecoms, Information Technologies and Mass Communications Oversight Service (Certificate on registration of mass media PI No.FS77-70200 dated June 21, 2017).

The Journal is on the list of the reviewed scientific publications where the basic scientific findings of the theses for a Candidate of Sciences (PhD), Doctor of Sciences in “Jurisprudence” should be published.
